How It Works / FAQ

How it works

  • Measure the inside of your drawer: width (left to right), depth (front to back) and usable height.
  • Build a layout in the Organizer Builder. It fits as many 42 mm grid squares as it can, after a small fit clearance, and tells you the leftover margin.
  • Choose to download files and print them yourself, or send the layout to us with the Order Request form.

FAQ

What does Gridfinity-compatible mean?

Gridfinity is an open, MIT-licensed modular storage system created by Zack Freedman. It uses a 42 mm grid and 7 mm height units. Our DCS Design Print Bins use those same published dimensions, so they should fit Gridfinity-compatible baseplates and bins. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Gridfinity.

What bins can I choose?

Standard bins, divided bins (2 or 3 sections), scoop bins, label-tab bins, shallow trays, tall bins, 1/4 inch hex bit holders, and lids.

How accurate is the price?

Not very yet. The builder uses placeholder pricing while we finish test prints. For orders, we confirm a real price by email before printing anything.

Do you ship?

Shipping options and prices are coming soon [TBD]. Local pickup in Idaho’s Treasure Valley is planned but not promised yet.

What materials and colors?

PLA by default. PETG and other options are coming soon. Ask in your order request if you need something specific.

Can I download the print files for free?

Layout files are free. Print-file downloads work in this draft for baseplates and plain bins. Final download terms are [TBD].

What if my drawer is not a neat multiple of 42 mm?

Most are not. The builder centers the grid and shows the leftover margin. Filler strips for the gaps are coming soon.

When do you launch?

We are planning a soft launch in January 2027.
